Well, it has been a really long time since I last posted something. Just got back from evening worship. Afterwards, we had a fellowship meal and the youth and the college groups got together to sings some. It was fun.
This weekend I found out I was selected for a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)scholarship that I applied for in May. It is $8000 for the academic year (which translates into $888.89 per month from September to May). Then next summer I will do an internship at a NOAA-approved facility and get like $750 a month. I may be able to do my internship with The Dr. D. Albrey Arrington, Ph.D. (former UA fish ecologist) in the Caribbean somewhere. I'm soo excited!!!
Classes start Wednesday with Organic Chemistry I (ugh) and Conservation Biology (yay!).
As part of the college group's Crazy Wild Week, we will have a devo tomorrow, softball/football extravaganza Tuesday, bowling Wed. after Bible study, "Mystery Night" Thursday, lock-in Friday and a Kick-Off Luau on Saturday. I will probably not go bowling on Wed. and I will miss mystery night to collect some frecklebelly madtoms on the Cahaba (if weather permits). Whew!
Julie and Brad are inspiring in their resolve and faith. They are going to give their best at beating her cancer. Please pray for them!
On a light note:
Heath: Micah, could you save me a poecilurum (PEE-SIL-UR-UM)?
Micah: I had a whole pylodictis (PILE-O-DICTUS) here, but carinatum (KAREN-ATE-UM) all.
