Well, since my last post we went to the Cahaba again (Friday) with no exciting finds. Monday we are sampling what some have dubbed the "Orgasmo Riffle" or "Orgasmoriffle," I'm not sure. It has so been named because of its attractiveness as riffle habitat and its extensive breadth. People from The Nature Conservancy and The Cahaba River Society will be joining us, forcing Bernie to take time out of our research efforts for a dog and pony show, as he says. Part of it, I guess, and should be fun.
Worship was good today. Emotional again. Heather put on Christ in baptism and Wendell Winkler gave a heartfelt prayer on behalf of Brad (the preacher)'s wife. Not too many dry eyes in the assembly, I think. She has had brain cancer and the doctor indicated some areas of concern recently.
After lunch I read some of Harry Potter (the latest installment) and drifted off to sleep. Now I'm a little groggy.
Life is...okay. I'm still having some trouble moving on, but I think I'm getting there. I'm trying to be as vague as possible. See, this is why this has never worked well for me. I can't REALLY express myself here because (at least it feels like) everyone and their mother (well, maybe not their mother) is reading this. Grrr.
